Dr. Sahar Pourshahriari earned her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from Chestnut Hill College prior to earning her second Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and her Doctorate in Optometry from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.
Dr. Sahar completed externships in several different modes of practice where she gained an understanding of ocular disease and treatment. She participated in comprehensive eye examinations, cataract evaluations, contact lens services, eye disease management and Lasik pre- and post-operative visits prior to joining private practice in 2012. She also completed an externship at the Philadelphia VA Hospital where she gained valuable experience in diagnosing eye disease pertaining to overall systemic health. In addition, Dr. Sahar has completed an advanced pediatric program at The Eye Institute and loves working with children of all ages!
Dr. Sahar resides in Lafayette Hill with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, listening to music and spending time with friends and family.
