Dr. Lauren L Richards, FAAO

Dr. Lauren L. Richards graduated with honors from The University of Delaware with a degree in neuroscience. She attended optometry school at The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University where she graduated with honors. After finishing optometry school, she went on to complete a primary care residency at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia where she served as administrative chief resident. While in school she received many honors and awards including the Alcon Graduation Case Study Award.

Dr. Richards served as a consulting optometrist at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia where she enjoyed teaching optometry students and working one on one with students through case review sessions and clinical observation. In 2014, she became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry through demonstration of meeting the highest standards of professional competency. Dr. Richards is licensed to perform comprehensive exams, contact lens fittings, glaucoma assessments and diabetic eye disease management. She also provides pediatric exams, binocular vision evaluations and orthokeratology fitting.

Dr. Richards currently lives in Plymouth Meeting with her husband Chris and toddler. Some of her interests include cooking with her husband, piano and volleyball.
